This is by far the best add on for garry's mod I've seen

Using logic gates and a variety of inputs and outputs you can do pretty much anything. I've seen videos of people who've made robots that follow players around, automated turrets, unmanned flying machines, everything.

It's very confusing to use though, and just as I was starting to figure it all out my computer remembered that it hates garry's mod and promtly crashed.

It links to a tutorial in there somewhere, but that's all spread out over a million page thread.

I'm assuming most of you know how logic gates work... since they're quite logical, so I'll just mention a few things:

If you make stuff with logic gates, sensors, outputs etc, set it all up by putting the gates, sensors etc in the right positions, then switch to the wire tool, this is where things get a bit backwards, say you have a logic gate, and you want a sensor to tell the logic gate something, you click the logic gate with the wire tool, then the sensor. For an output that takes it's value from the logic gate, do the same thing. Click the output then the logic gate.
Also, since the logic gates have multiple inputs, you have to left and right click.
Example: You have an OR gate and two sensors, to link them properly you left click the OR gate, then left click sensor A, then right click the OR gate and right click sensor B.

Like I said, it's confusing. I've only managed to work out (or read on the forums) a little, but the biggest help so far is what I've said up there :above:

Is there like a picture of this or something? I don't know what it's suposed to be.

Er, I don't think a picture could explain it.

Basically you spawn props that have inputs and outputs, then link them all together with a special wire tool in a way which will achieve some result.

I made a floating blast door that would raise higher if the ground below it did and automatically activate thrusters to push it away from walls if it got too close. I'll go get some pictures of it.

<a href="http://www.5punk.co.uk/uploads/Images/g ... jpg">First pic</a>

The black things with white lines are proximity sensors, if something or someone touches any one of the lines (in this case the ground when it rises up), that sensor will send a 1 to the OR gate in the middle, which will then send a 1 to the "numpad output" thing next to it. The numpad output acts just like a button in garry's mod, it simulates a key, in this case it's the one I used to make the hoverballs rise.

It's a similar thing here, except with thrusters. If a wall or person touches a line then it activates the thrusters on that side to push it away.

Edit: After learning how certain things work, I made a bath that follows you.

Here's some videos of more complicated things that have been made with it though.

If anyone's interested enough to try this I'd be more than happy to host a server with the addon on and explain stuff the best I can.

That tilting platform one is good.
Impressive stuff

this looks very cool.
i'll be experimenting later i think.

Can it run on a server?

If the host has it installed on the server it'll work for everyone, even people who don't have it I think.

I made an automatic cannon. It's my own design and everything :) (which explains why there's like seven things on the wall just for a simple timer).

Activate the timer and it'll count up to 2, press the numpad key which spawns a barrel, detonates the dynamite and resets and restarts the timer. The TV counts up and down the time before explosions.
