I can see from Steam some people have got this but not played very much. I completed it last weekend and thought it was rather good. Good old Double Fine magic. It's not particularly challenging if you've played games like this before. But there's Plenty of charm, humour and a decent story with interesting characters.
Perhaps £19 is a little too much to ask, especially only having act 1 so far. Act 2 to follow whenever. You could've got it at $15 in the Kickstarter and I think that's turned out to be a good deal. It's well worth picking up in a sale if you've any interest in the game or the genre generally.

Re: Broken Age
It's not bad. Both stories are kind of quirky. I got stuck on.. well not puzzles really, just wandering about with no idea what I'm supposed to be doing, in both parts. So I've not really bothered to go back. Such are point-and-clicks. I expect when I have a quiet moment I'll google it and carry on.
Re: Broken Age
Yes, there are times in both stories were you're given some space to wander around new, relatively large areas. Although there's only so much you can do in each 'room' of the areas. I found it quite simple once I'd had a wander and familiarised myself with what's in each of the areas, scanning and clicking with the mouse. There's no using a rubber chicken with a pulley here. Maybe I've just played enough of these games to see what the developer wants me to do.Dog Pants wrote:I got stuck on.. well not puzzles really, just wandering about with no idea what I'm supposed to be doing, in both parts.
Re: Broken Age
It's probably not as bad as I make it sound. I wasn't wandering about for hours, just a few laps of the areas, and I stopped playing because I had to go to bed, not because I got bored. It just happens that with no clear idea of what to do next I haven't had that draw to go back. Bad timing maybe.
