Geeky Christmas

That time is drawing near and I've been asked to provide lists of things for people to buy me for Christmas. Thing is, being an adult I just buy most things that I want which are inexpensive enough for someone else to consider buying as a gift. Personally I get around it by buying things which are far too expensive for what they are, luxuries that you'd normally baulk at the price of, because it's something they wouldn't but for themselves. Anyway, I wouldn't mind putting a few nice geeky presents on the list for people to get me. Stuff like the Mass Effect hoodie, a plushy weighted companion cube, those Speedball 2 t-shirts I made the other year. But I'm pretty shit of thinking of things, so partly as inspiration and partly to tell us all about the geeky shit you'd like for Christmas, what geeky shit would you like for Christmas?

Well, I'm in need of clothes anyway, so apart from having a look at InsertCoin Clothing (which apart from a couple of t-shirts, and one shirt, don't impress), I've been looking at
http://www.lastexittonowhere.com/ again.
And of course, there's always cool stuff on

I very rarely buy replica items or figures for myself - the majority of ones I have are gifts or from collectors game packs - but I do like having them. They're a nice talking point/statement on your work/play desk as well as something which gives you a smile every day as you remember who bought them. Also I know how carried away I'd get if I started buying them myself.
Something else I almost never buy are apps for my phone - I have three bought ones and about 270 free ones, so some Play Store vouchers might be nice to remove some ads from or to add premium features to few a I use often.
Other than that, look for something in the gadget/man shops that you can fiddle with all Christmas afternoon without having to engage with the family. We reintroduced an old family tradition of "Christmas Tree Presents" which have to be cheap silly little playthings which are given out after the dinner which we remembered fondly from our childhood kept us entertained after we'd exhausted/broken/not got any more batteries for our main presents. Typically a host and a guest would each buy a little something for everyone else to open - usually split between the lines of boys and girls rather than adults and children and since they were silly nothings everyone got to have a play with them, the kids loved it because moar presants.
Edit: Tshirt-wise,
this design is rather jolly.

Since it's been a pretty hard financial year for me and my parents and Mrs. J and her parents we've decided to not give out presents this year. I'm sure there'll be some cheap trinkets here and there, and I'm going to make some beef jerky for Mrs. J's dad but that'll be it this year. And I'm okay with that as I've reached a point in life where I have everything I want materially and I hate going to Christmas dinners empty handed every year so this year I won't be the only empty-handed one and I like that.
As for my friends, last year I gave Christmas presents to my housemates but this year I didn't get a happy birthday text or even a facebook post despite the fact that we live in the same house so they can all go fuck themselves. The only gift I want from them this year is their confirmation that they'll be leaving next summer.

I tend to find IWOOT and FireBox good for these kinds of gifts:

And if worst comes to worst, FireBox has a Mystery Box!

I like
Project Utopia on Firebox, it looks just like Anno 2070, apparently Yacht Island Design do custom jobs so I might contact them and ask them if they can build Rapture.

I've got a couple of D&D Compendiums (
Magic item and
Spell) on my wishlist, 'cause it's more satisfying to flick through them in paper form than on a PDF.
As for tshirts, as they seem to be a popular topic in this thread, I recommend
Qwertee and
TeeFury's 48 hour flash-sales for nerdy apparel.
I second FireBox, they're usually a bit overpriced, but they're better than the Gadget Shop style sites, often with pretty good customer reviews.
What about
Three Turret Moon?
Oh yeah, and maybe a $49.00 year subscription to some Roll20 GM tools.

I have a logo technic excavator on my wish list. We're getting my dad the JCB backhoe model as he loves the stuff more than me.
I'm buying an Xone on Thursday so I may get a game but I'd be happy with a few blurays.
