What the title said, for FireFox. Sick of this 90's geocities fad that is affecting websites - no fuckhead, using audio on your ads will make me avoid you!
Bah.

Anyone know a good one?

If you're still wary of the Adblock Plus "none intrusive advertising" settings, some clever soul has released a fork of it called Adblock Edge which removes the functionality entirely. everything else is as it was. It's currently only a Mozilla thing though.

Just so you know, Adblock Plus is the evil version that accepts payments from advertisers. Regular AdBlock blocks ads just as well but it's made by one guy and his wife and the only money they make is from donations.

Adblock Plus is the only one that works on Android as well, though, so eh.

I did not know that - glad I just have AdBlock now

I'd say Adblock Plus is more controversial than evil. There's an argument to be made for forcing advertisers to use much less intrusive ads. But Adblock Plus accepting payments from them to allow these ads through is certainly dodgy. The advertising industry itself is possibly evil, especially when targeted at the vulnerable, such as children.

I use Adblock Edge anyway.

While I do use adblock plus, I also use NoScript.

I don't see any ads at all :)

Noscript is useful and not too much of a pain to put in exceptions for sites. Disconnect is also pretty easy and doesn't get in the way. Stops all that cross-site nonsense that has no benefit for you, just advertisers.

While you're there you might as well set Firefox to refuse third-party cookies and choose a Tracking option you prefer. All on the Privacy tab.

Also HTTP Everywhere can't hurt. A little more privacy or at least the illusion of.
