Another great LAN done and dusted and the first one that I had trouble tearing myself from my PC from. Yes, as the organiser of the LAN's I've never gamed - well I did at this one and it's all the fault of those KIA'ers and GT10! I am a World of Warcraft addict and I will stand here and admit it, god damn it!
You guys were brilliant - what a tidy bunch you all were on the whole. I gamed quite happily, was calm and unruffled and had a great time. Toasties were a hit again and this time I ran out of most things - including bread, which made it impossible to continue making any more. However my saviour for those few people who had the last few toasties on my list was Panda, who gave me a loaf of bread to complete required last toasties, and without him I'd not have been able to satisfy you all (so to speak!). Except for Timbo - who was just late and missed out - sorry!!
As usual, I bow to Jugger without whom GTLANs would not happen. What a great guy to work with. Bless ya honey!
Great to see some new faces at this one - I tried to speak to you all at some stage (if you cou/d pull me from my PC). Thank you ALL for coming along!
Wallnut and Andy - bless ya - LAN virgins. You came with a PC (shared if you please) and not alot of anything else eh? I know you didn't sleep much, which is fortunate, as you brought no sleeping bags or duvets or pillows....doh! Betcha you don't forget them again! I hope you both had fun and Andy - get that Palladin levelled and out ganking with KIA soon! You weren't initiated into Lanning as might of been done in the 'old days' and I think you ought to be greatful for that! See you at GT12!
Jockgit - you don't sleep sweetie - you pass out and when you do, you sleep like the dead! Most amusing!
Funniest moment for me and moral to those WOW'ers out there - Baity cooked a pizza - nothing unual there I hear you cry.......well all I can say is....don't put pizza in oven and then begin a quest in WOW. BAD IDEA. Suffice to say pizza was forgotten and ended up black and charred and completely knackered! I laughed so much I cried!
I apologise for the 'sleeping room' being so cold - I don't know why that was. It was fairly empty as a result I think - and even I slept under my desk on Saturday as it was warmer in the main hall. However, I'm told that the was a snoring contest between Panda and someone else - and although I use earplugs when I need sleep at a LAN, I think that it would have been a challenge trying to sleep in that room Saturday cos apparently the noise was amazingly loud!
Manix and Ma-harg - my thanks to you both for stopping behind to the bitter end to help us clear up and get the hell out of Dodge! I appreciate it very much! Manix, thanks for hosting the LAN webcam for me too! Bless ya!
KIA - all of you - thanks for all your help questing, levelling, instancing and dungeoning. I'm getting there. Charsy wasn't in the room with me, but she's a darling and is teaching me to gank, which I'm picking up pretty well!
Thanks to Baity for being my questing buddy - love ya!
To you all - my thanks for another successful LAN - see you at the next one.
