Stand up comedy

So I got Netflix recently and have been watching a few stand up comedy specials. A brief review of some below:

Louis C.K. - Chewed Up

Bloody brilliant. I know that Louis is massive in the US, but I don't really hear much about him here. Seen him on YouTube a few times and liked it but this is the first routine I've seen of his in full. Particularly enjoyed his "lucky to be white" bit:

Doug Stanhope - Burning the Bridge to Nowhere

I'm already a huge Stanhope fan and I already have this on DVD, but fuck it I watched it again. Probably not to everyone's taste - his delivery can seem rambling and shambolic (rambolic?), but he's actually a rather insightful chap.

Jim Jeffries - Alcoholocaust

I'm not sure I've heard of this bloke before - Aussie fellow, of the drunken blue collar vein (unsurprisingly a recommendation after the previous video). He's pretty good, made me laugh:

Patton Oswalt is one of my favorites:

Good vids there gents, especially "Fucksquatch". Got myself Netflix last week, maybe I'll have a wee search for these too.

Would Netflix and Lovefilm recommendation threads be useful?

Forgot to mention Bo Burnham - took me a bit longer to get into but he's really good. Lots of wordplay and music:

Patton Oswalt is brilliant - I'm always amazed by the creativity of his routines.

Saw some Jim Gaffigan last night which I thoroughly enjoyed:

I'm rather a fan of Henry Rollins spoken word stuff, it's not quite stand up all the time, but is often pleasing and utterly fucked up.
