5punk

Post here to suggest entries for the 5punky Game of the Year. Nominees will be games (hopefully not the same as the MP or SP GotY) which have impressed us the most with its combination of being a great game and being 5punky. This is the big one, the game most 5punkers would choose to be the only thing they were allowed to play next year if they were made to choose. Possibly by someone pointing sharp things at their genitals. Apart from Berk, who does that to himself anyway. Votes will be placed in the new year.

Mass effect 3.

As much as it pains me, I just can't nominate Mass Effect 3. Even though I love the multiplayer, Mass Effect is all about the story and the characters and ME3 dropped the ball on that front.

All the games I've enjoyed this year have been mentioned in the MP and SP threads respectively, but my overall game of the year could be argued to be both. I've played the vast majority of my probably 100+ hours of it alone or with randoms, and enjoyed most of it. I've also had a few sorties with 5punkers which, when we can find people for it, have proven to be highly entertaining. Individually neither of these aspects would have made it to the top of their respective categories, but together they make for a game that I can see resurging often next year, especially if more 5punkers drift into it. I certainly hope so anyway. My game of the year is Guild Wars 2.

I think I'm also going with Walking Dead. I have a feeling there's something I liked more that I just can't remember, but not being at my computer I can't remember.

Journey again, but as I seem to be the only one, my second vote is The Walking Planetside Dead 2.
