Good fuck hell christ. I think I just did a small wee.
If this doesn't get funded, I may cry.

Oh my... that does look like it could be fun. I have never played total annihilation, is it worth trying to get hold of?

They're the people behind Super MNC though, and I think that game is rather ropey.

The game itself is fine, its the Monday Night Queuing you have to do to get into a game that's the problem.

I never got into Super MNC, due to the aforementioned queueing issue. I'm too impatient for that shit. Regular old MNC was pretty good though.

You're probably better off with SupCom 2 these days. TA was brilliant in its day, but the Sups are prettier and maintain pretty much the same gameplay.

Looks good, as long as it doesn't take 10 years to build an army.

I can't speak for Sup Com 2, but I'd certainly still recommend TA (maybe without the second expansion pack) over the first Sup Com.

I preferred supcom one to two, but I've only played a little bit of two. I really ought to give it another go.

oh, and back on topic (and because I know this is important to some of you):
email from the devs wrote:DRM-Free
For offline play, the game will be DRM free. For online play that gives you access to the global community and social features, you will need to be logged in.

Exactly this
The little bit of 2 that I played didn't seem to offer the same level of control, SupCom 1 on the surface appeared to be very complex but the way you controlled things I thought was simple in application but allowed you to do very complex things. With 2 they changed the approach enough for me to not feel familiar with it.

I have to confess I never played Soup 2, but the common concensus among the blogs I follow seemed to point towards it. The first was good though.

This baby's gone alpha, so if you pledged > $90 then you've got it.
Lower pledgers should see an upgrade option (if you're really that desperate to play a game in alpha stage).

On Steam for a snip at £67.99 - I do hope that's a 'pledge' price rather than a new bar for retail costs, cos that's pretty pricey for a game.
