Pleasing thing that stands out is real sets, which is a good thing. I hope it's not canned laughter either.

I'd forgotten about this until a few days ago, but I'm now all caught up.

2-3 episodes were decent enough, the others were pretty awful. Everything is just a little bit off - the plots, the acting, the characters, the writing. I felt a need to watch it all but it's almost all entirely forgettable.

That's a shame. I initially heard very good things from a big Red Dwarf fan I know but he stopped mentioning it after Episode 3...

Think they should probably give it a rest now.

I've watched a few episodes, need to catch up. A good indication that I'm not totally hooked. But I feel it's as good as it could be. The first episode certainly made me laugh a few times.

I'd agree with this, there are a few good episodes, the rest are average, some of the plots seem like they should have been an hour long but cut down to 30 mins and don't really work. The last episode was particularly bad though, it was such a mish mash, it didn't really work.
