Origin Problem

I'm Trying to install BF3 after a fresh OS install. Disc 1 installed Origin, but Origin is not giving me the option to install the game off the disc. The only option it is giving me is to download the entire 16Gb.

Is there anyway to over-ride or horse Origin to install off the Discs?

Cheers

Very Simple. Insert BF3 disc 1 to initially install Origin. Once complete, remove BF3 Disc & then put it back in and let it auto-run. Origin will then Install From the 2 Discs. SIMPLES !!!

Yeah, this was a pain when I borked an Origin installation once.
It's made doubly painful by Origin saying "Downloading" when it's actually installing off the CD, so you can never be sure what it's doing.

I had some problems with copying the data from a backup to a new installation.

It did a check, said the game was 100% installed. Attempted to run it, kept telling me to update the web portal thingy. Did this several times. Then tried clicking "check for updates" on BF3 itself, it threw a fit and decided it needed to download a 1.5 gig more.

Good work Electronic Arts.
