Monitor - Repair or Renew?

So my big monitor is a bit fucked. It's a Hanns-G HG281D, and it has been a bit wonky for a while - takes ages to 'boot up', flickers a lot and has tons of vertical rows of dots. Also, weirdly, if I'm watching a video on my other monitor (that is smaller but I've had for years and it's given me no issues) I will get ghost frames on the wonky one. Also, also, even when tabbed browsing some pages spazz to fuck whilst the others are fine.
Reading around the flickering would appear to be a fairly common problem with this brand, apparently caused by banjoed capacitors. There is absolutely no way I am capable (or willing for that matter) to fix this myself, so does anyone know approximately how much it would cost to get it fixed? That said, would it actually cost out better just to get a new monitor? I'm concerned that I'd fork out a load of money just to extend its life by one or two years).
