Since the last BPN there have been quite a few days of inactivity. Enough for Eraser to recover from his surgery. In fact, all seems fairly quiet until a courier catches up with Dirk clutching a BPN from Haynes.
Hmm, the new template shouldn't be green. Potatoshop seems to have borked the palette.

You didn't, you just don't have a reputation as anything else.

Most greasy spoons are limited to Suburbia and below. Uptown and Central have some really expensive fake ones for poseurs who want to look like they're 'street'. Since there's no contact name or number on the BPN your best bet is to contact the issuing department or look up the BPN ref on the net and accept it online.

I've just noticed it was given to me. I'll wait till we've all met up before accepting it. Joose, do you reckon Hal might be able to negotiate a raise on the 200c pay out on this one?

I've no idea, but I'm happy to try. Doggers?

I'll look up the BPN. Computer Use (4): 9, 6 + 4 = 19

Ah, theoretically yes, you can do this under the training package bonuses I've been writing. However I was struggling with Business Finance. Keep poking me to finish it and we can retcon the roll.

It's sat in the listings under the Dept of Data Retrieval. Entering your squad details to accept it (scarily easy) almost instantly prompts an email;
Code: Select all
Unusual data flow detected coming from reserve automated factory facility EH184-56 located in Demdyke Sector, Downtown. No information presented by signals, however integrity of data is unknown. Enter the facility and locate the source of the signals. Report and eliminate any rival company personnel if present.

Groovy. Can your computer magics find any history on that building?

I'll try to pull up any blueprints and info on the building.

You find nothing save an address and its status; it appears to have been shut down for 160 years or so.

Well, Dirk you might as well call our contact and ask a few questions.

Contact details are conspicuous by their absence.

Hmm, can someone check that the Department of Data Retrieval actually exists? I still maintain a healthy suspicion of anything that Doggers gives us.
