It's very pretty.
Combat looked boring though, also I really dislike it when dev's put health bars on enemies. Takes away the mystery, and also a very lazy excuse for not bothering to put extra texture effects, particle effects, body damage and other nicites in.

Very pretty indeed. But I think the Borderlands + Halo, RPG-lite nature of it excuses the health bars. And I did see damage effects as well on the big thing at the end.

Almost looks like it's exiting the uncanny valley, rather than dropping in like we have been the past year or so.

Exactly, the demon looks especially convincing to me. And it's great to see the actors performances really come through in digital form, so much potential for the future.

Oh it's so very easy to be cynical about EA turning PvZ into a shooter but damn this actually looks fun, and that's one of best trailers I've seen for a while.

"Every great game must grow up and spread its wings" translates too "every great game must be turned into a shooter." Looks like it might be a bit Orcs Must Die though, which is a decent enough inspiration. The graphics looked to have a lot of bloom though.

Tom Clancy’s The Division. This passed me by, looks like it might be pretty decent, for a cover shooter. However it's not coming to PC currently, though there is a controversial petition.

The thread you have dialed is incorrect, please hang up and try again.

I'd move this, but am on phone.

I feel ashamed and will flog* myself repeatedly.

*Will probably replace flogging with something else.

For some reason that video loaded at roughly the speed of a doped up turtle, but youtube's been acting weird for me lately in general. Anyway, the game looks interesting but that video looks very scripted, there's too many little things that are clearly meant to impress and draw your attention away from some of the flaws this might have. But we'll see.

One thing that can help is to right click on the player and click Settings. On the Local Storage tab, increase that to either 10MB or Unlimited, it seems to help out a lot for me.

Okay, well on a technical level BF4 will be a decent leap, just as BF3 was.

I just hope they have someone a bit more clued up behind balance working on it this time around, and some better map designers as well, so that the actual game is better.

Yeah, although I miss the map structure / detail from BF1942, would love them to go to that level of detail again.
