So, Brian Fargo (of Wasteland, Fallout and such) has gone and started a kickstarter for Wasteland 2.

I've pledged as it's a game I want to see made, and Fargo's managed to bag a number of ex-Fallout 1/2 staff, including the main writer and sound chaps for Fallout 1.

I fully expected, but still enjoyed, the bit in the video where the publisher suggests making it a first person shooter

It's worth noting that just under 24 hours later, it's at 733k of a 900k total. Which is pretty awesome.

I was surprised at the target they've set. It's a small budget for a game, but it's over twice what Double Take asked for. Still, they seem to be on track. As I've said before though, I can see Kickstarter fatigue taking hold sooner or later and games starting to bomb.

Yeah it looks very promising. I love that they give further context for things through text. Very cool.

Obviously this is now out, getting decent reviews yadda yadda yadda.

Just like to say my boxed version arrived today :D

I also have a spare free digital copy of the game, either via Steam or GoG. Say if you want it.
