Ass Creed 3

True, but the old jumping about in a city formula was starting to get a bit old and worn in the last game. For me, the fun part was the large, open maps and the slightly unusual take on stealth. Well, that and dropping off a tower onto someone's head, dagger first, then running away before the guards can figure out what's going on. I don't think any of that necessarily needs a city setting, and free-running through trees might freshen things up a bit.buzzmong wrote:It's quite an interesting setting for a game....not quite sure how it's going to work with Ass Creed though, considering half the point of the series is being a freerunning chimp bounding from building to building.
Calling it now, House of Flying Daggers: The Game.Joose wrote:True, but the old jumping about in a city formula was starting to get a bit old and worn in the last game. All of this. AC1 got boring very quickly and I only lasted a few hours, despite really liking the idea. The games since then though have been much better, due in no small part to the cool back stories that European history allows them to play on. For my money it's what has made the difference between the first game and releases since then. No doubt they have wrung the last drips from the Ezio storyline (Ubisoft, go figure), but I'm not sold on the idea of US Revolutionary War setting. Still, I'm in no rush to play it, so I'll wait out and see what they can bring.Mr. Johnson wrote:I enjoyed the second one and it's first sequel (the first game just got old real quick and I never finished it) but this setting doesn't really appeal much to me, I would've preferred another European setting.
Still, it's good to see that they're at least trying to renew themselves and trying out something different.
