The horror of trying to organise a 96-player clan match. Even so, I'd like to spectate. A properly organised platoon is probably quite the thing to see in action.

Hahaha, you've never seen RPS in action then...
Though, I guess with only one lane to worry about they can't be too bad.

Graphics in game have improved dramatically, I'm getting a really clear picture and massive night fights look even more impressive.

Thought you should know.

Did I ever mention they've unified camo? Which means now you just buy one camo and you can use it on armour, vehicles, or weapons. On the one hand it's a little annoying that I bought tigerstripe camo twice (armour and vehicle), but on the other hand I now have loads of camo I wouldn't normally have had. Like my fetching lilac camo weapons.

:above:

I went on today (mostly because in a rare twist, the EU provider: ProSieben, was offering something St Patricks day related if you log in), and was faced with an 8.5 gb patch.

Although, I've probably not touched the game since January.

Apparently we're getting a new vehicle this summer - the Valkyrie, a light transport aircraft with a couple of rumble seats. I can see us dying a lot in it.

Interesting, I just got an email from ProSieben Games saying:
To reunite the European and US communities and to bring the Player Studio to the European players Sony Online Entertainment and PSG decided together to migrate all PSG accounts for these games to SOE. Of course all of your acquired services and currencies for these games will stay valid and will be transferred as well.
About fucking time. I never spent money on it, but it was pretty galling to see offers available to everyone else due PSG having their own set of very infrequent offers, and certain ingame special event rewards excluding PSG accounts.

For those not knowing who/what PSG are in relation to PS2, I shall elaborate: If you live in Europe and signed up *after* the beta, you were forced to use a PSG account for PS2. Trying to sign in with an SOE account would tell you bugger off and get a PSG account if it detected you were in the Europe part of the interwebs.

Somehow I avoided ProSieban and already had a proper SOE account, something to do with SWG I think.

In other news HOSSIN!

Redeem the code "SUMMERREWARD" to unlock the NS-11P rifle, and "MLGREPORT" for MLG decals and a 1hr xp boost.

Hmm, not entirely sure what's going to happen with PS2 now.

SOE as a studio has been sold by Sony to some investors, and are being renamed Daybreak something or other. No word on what's happening with IP's.

Quite interesting that Sony have sold them as it means that either SOE was a money pit and it was sell or close, or Sony is in need of cash so has sold a profitable/valuable part of its business to make ends meet. I'm hedging my bets on the former.

Hopefully PS2 was a profitable enough part of it to remain.

I think it was B4rF that got me all nostalgic for PS2, I missed my space bus, but whatever the reason I have updated and am playing again.
I'm not seeing much in the way of Pay 2 Win, the implants still exist but they can be earned just like everything else not cosmetic.
Worth re-installing for some 5henaningans if you have it.

Yeah, I'd forgotten how enjoyable it is. Doesn't seem to be as much air-death as there used to be.
