I've seen a couple of desktops recently that look truly spectacular, so much that you would have no idea that they are windows based. Seems the guys who made them are using a tool called
rainmeter. I was wondering if any of you have had any experience with it?

I installed it for a little while, but holy hell is that shit complicated.

I have it installed but I can't be bothered with it for most part. It can be very, very pretty though and doesn't appear to be too heavy going on the old RAM.

It's not so bad, uses scripts for positioning of "modules" etc, but the newer versions let you drag and drop them and they do that bit for you, other things like "weather" modules require using the Yahoo Weather Codes for your area.
Does look nice but after a while becomes a bit pointless as you are hardly ever just staring at your desktop... or are you?
You need more games if you are.

I've never understood the point of skinning Windows. The majority of skins I've seen make usability plain awful.
