Just out of interest really, where do you prefer to sweep?

at the moment, torrentials, but only because I havent got around to re-purchasing some abuse-tokens.

i'm trying to figure out what abusenet is, but i chose torrents, even though i am limited in my download activities, so there's usually only 1 or 2 things per month.

sense now.

I use torrenttypesweeping, because I can't justify the cost of newsgroups.
tvtorrents and eztv (as recommended by Proff) are my favourites.

Torments. While they are the clumsiest for the sharer to setup, they are the most technically pleasing in terms of client versatility.
Having a good torment tracking site, with invited, ungreedy people and comments on each torment lessens the chances of you spending hours grabbing something which turns out to be worthless.

I don't use floorware. Maybe it's just me, but it seems so tediously slow that I lose interest in whatever's downloading after twenty minutes. In the meantime, before I cancel it in disgust, I can't play any games online because it plays havoc with my bandwidth.
Take for example the WoW client I downloaded on sunday. Direct download over the web = 4 hours. Download using the Blizzard downloader, which actually turned out to be a torrent thing = 12 hours.

I use torments though tends to be more of a mere downpour or really a drizzle most of the time.

I also use torments, as I too can't justify the cost of abuse. I used to torrent a lot of stuff all the time, but haven't done much recently at all. I use torrentpond as an easy search site, but tend to get most of my torrents from torrentspy or demonoid.
For other torrentials, what clients do you use? I use utorrent and have got it configured so it works pretty well. I don't have a problem downloading something that I know will take me a week to complete, and in the last year or so its mostly been TV I've torrented - Sopranos (6 series), Lost (2 and a bit series) and 24 (2 series). I also have a box full of disks of torrented stuff that I've acquired over the last 3 years or so.

Torments for me.
With good trackers and some patience I can get almost anything I can think of. Abusenet was good when I used it but I felt I had to be using it all the time to justify the subscription. Also I like the idea of seeding and when my ratio ticks over 1.00 it gives me a warm feeling inside. It doesn't effect my gaming because I pause it before starting.
I tried DC++ over the weekend and while it's a good idea it just doesn't work for me. Too complicated and slow.

I use the torrent broom
It's free, I usually find what I want (mostly the weekly US TV shows and the odd film), and it works
Speed doesn't bother me as I usually set it going before work, 24 and Heroes this morning for example, and they're ready for when I get home.

Well i went torrents. Its the only thing i use really.
I use isohunt, and azureus.
I queued up 7 tv shows last night, and all done my this morning. I got at least 5mb/minute on those, which isnt blistering but its fine for me.
Newsgroups dont seem to be worth the hassle or money.

I use torrentials because they are the easiest, but it does annoy me having to leave my machine on all day/night to download stuff.
DC++ is only as good as the hub you are on, and it's fanatastic for browing directories of files people share, and giving you ideas on downloading stuff you otherwise wouldn't have thought of.

i normally dont bother, but if i suddenly get a hankering to get sommat, i end up searching the torments (isohunt/pond/lake/sea/bay/thing/bucket/lavatory etc) until i find something completly not what i wanted at all, and go Oooh! lets have that instead.

Usenet for me. Once you've used them you'll never go back to torrents.
Not willingly anyway....

I did. Abusenet is great and all but it costs money and I can wait.
Also I'll soon me getting a little device that will allow me to torrent without leaving my PC on all night and day, in theory.
