Aliens: Colon Marines

So, Aliens:Colonial Marines has resurfaced again in the press thanks to Gearbox finally releasing some new details and media in form of screenies and a video.
RockPaperShotgun linky-poos with a terrible terrible list of film quotes in the comments that made me

It actually sounds quite interesting with a COOP campaign. I'd imagine a bunch of 5punkers forming a Marine squad would be highly amusing.

I'm dubious about the experience and ranks for unlocks for slight balance reasons, but actually quite looking forward to having a load out as it should hopefully mean that the Dev's raid the books for extra weaponry (hopefully we may even get to use the fabled Aliens plasma rifle mentioned in Aliens but not used) or at least allow me to use a flamethrower as much as possible :)

The screen shots, of which there are a couple more on the official site, look not only rather pretty, but rather sci-fi dark and metallic, perfect for being slaughtered by xeno's.

You do know what happens when people use flamethrowers in 5punky multiplayer games right?

I could pick flaws with it, like it being quite scripted and such, but narf not only does it look really atmospheric, but it seems like it's going to be better than AvP3 (AVP2010) ever could have been. It's also quite an old E3 demo.

Still, :thrust:
