So they're stealing stuff from UT now?

That hover thing reminded me of... the hover thing in UT2k4, especially with the little jumpy thing (which I think I saw in that video), and that big fuck off armoured thing reminded me of the big fuck off armoured thing in the UT2k4 as well.

I did LOL at the jihad jeep though. It was was the only thing in those videos that comes close to how the game is actually played.

That. :above: HARD.

Strangely, there was a tank in ut04 called the goliath (though not the big one that they ripped off)

Fuck it. I'm going to get it so you can all tell me how shit it is without even trying it, I know you want to. I'll be like "Woah! This is awesome, you should get it so we can play together!" and you'll be like "No it sucks, EA sucks and you suck for giving EA money. Also it's not even a proper game it's a mod of a mod of mod, which sucks!" then I'll be like "lol ok, see ya later."

It's not that it sucks, it's just that I'm massively against paying for a tiny amount of shit such as an extra map and a couple of vehicles.

That. :above:

also, titan has had so much shitty lag every time i've played it, it has fucked any enthusiasm i had for 2142. (though the few times i've played conquest, it's been much fun)

To be honest, depending on the price, the only thing holding me back is the fact that after I bought European Doodad and Armored Fury for BEEF I never played it because not everyone here had it. I can't really see a way of avoiding that again, unless it turns out to be the best thing ever and everyone buys it, which is unlikely.

Depends how much it is. I'd probably pay a tenner for it if we could overcome that :above: problem.

I really think you've missed the good points. After the patch before last you can't move the titans after their shields are down, which reduces lag a shitload. You still get it on some servers, but that could be said with any game. The conquest maps (the proper ones, not the titan ones on conquest mode) are very good though - all feeling similar to Karkand (and for a good reason - the developers know that was the most popular BEEF map).

As it's only going to be $9.99 I've got no problem with paying even if I only play for a few hours. I got some play out of all the Beef booster packs and they were mostly worth the money.

I think complaining about paying for these boosters packs is a little unfair. There's obviously a lot of work gone into them and while you could expect free maps and other additions in the past, that was the past and the industry is changing. And yes, there is some great user generated content available for free, most notably POE, but that is a rare exception, the majority of it is rough at best. I don't mind pay a small sum for a decent mod which has guaranteed future support.

Finally I think the 1.20 patch could be released with the booster pack and this goes a long way towards improving things. I especially noticed the improved performance in the titans.

Don't think I'll bother, I never play Titan and I hate vehicles.

I've pre-ordered and pre-loaded this ready for whenever, a couple of days I think.

I get some additional unlock option that you lot don't: http://www.totalbf2142.com/page.php?do=nsunlocks
Mostly pointless I suppose.

I like the sound of the ESP (Explosive Sticky Projectiles) as well. Like the sticky grenade on Halo it seems.

They're usable with field unlocks, so I've been able to use it a few times. To be honest, the blast isn't as big as a grenade, but you can shoot them farther. I can see them having their use, but they aren't all that compelling.

The biggest problem with them is that you need get them right under an enemy to kill one, and most of the time after the first one lands anywhere near, everyone takes off in the opposite direction.
