I realise most of you are probably well aware of Sven Coop but I've only just discovered it and I think it’s awesome. What with Sven Coop 2 (Source) and Sven Coop v3.5 on the way this is a good time to try it, or revisit if you have played it in the past.
Get it here:
http://www.svencoop.com/
Or if you have HL2 silver edition or above you’ll see it in the list of third party games screen of Steam.
Is anyone else interested?

not interested, but it's listed in my steam 3rd party... which is bronze.

Is this a co-operative mod for Half Life 1 then?
Is it a multiplayer game, or do you play "single player missions" online together?
How many italians does it take to change a mexican lightbulb?

But without HL: Source, which is not included with HL2 bronze, I think you'd need to install the old non-Steam HL1, assuming you have it. I was assuming not. Can anyone confirm this?

Err, both? At the weekend I was playing for a few hours and all the maps involved multiple players working together to get through the levels of tough NPCs. I don't think there's any player-on-player action but the strengh of the NPCs makes up for it.
That much is all I know, you need to try it for yourself. I thought it was the b0ll0x but then I like coop gaming.

I only play it because the voices tell me if I don't, kittens will suffer. I actually hate computer games and love productivity most of all the things in the world. The voices also like me faffing at internet rather than doing any research

Hey spoodie,
if you wanna organise a sven coop game then feel free to add it in the 5cheduler under the "Other" section.
This goes for anyone else who wants to 5chedule a "mod" game

Cheers woo elephant, I might just do that. But what about the hosting, can I do it on my PC or just pick one out there already? There are plenty of empty servers usually.
EDIT: Also, I've tried Wolfenstein: ET and it is good, thanks n00bt00b

I'd suggest finding an empty, smallish server so there's a good chance of 5punkers filling it.
Unfortunately, while hosting on your own machine and connection is possible, it's really not viable in most case.
