Dave have gone off and commissioned a new series to air in 2012.

Personally, as long as they ditch most of the CG, and get it set infront of a live audience again, another series might be ok.
Hopefully the scripts will be better though.

I guess it's better than nothing. I'll set my expectations to zero.

I couldn't watch the second part of that special they did recently, it was awful. I am setting my expectations to 'raped'.

It was okayish until the 'actors in a series' bit, at which point I actually felt physically sick.

Ooof! Can't wait for the return of that sexy theme tune to our television sets... I'd better buy a new TV; I don't know if my old one can deal with such excitement! It is highly likely that it could commit suicide during any moment of the airing. :faint:

I'll remain cautious like everyone, but I haven't seen the latest so I might have different expectations.

That bit that was an "homage to Bladerunner" was fucking terrible too. I'm not sure what series it was that introduced the canned laughter, but it wasn't the same after that. I'm all for change, but not terrible change (like loosing the ability to walk for example).

If you mean live audience reaction, Series 1.
According to The Great Wikipedia, only series 7 wasn't shot in front of an audience and even then it was shown to an audience to get the laughter track. So no canned laughter.

well that says the new series was commissioned on the strength of the special they did and how many viewers it had

they shouldve just done that movie....
