Recommend me a wireless router bitches! (Please!)

I've been tasked with obtaining a new router for my Brother and all the fun and games that it entails, it's got to be wireless so he can use his netbook downstairs while attaching 2 pc's in his office via wires.
Based on my own D-link DIR-615 I'm going to say it must have detachable aerials so if need be I can wack some higher gain ones on (normal routers come with silly 2 or 3db, all can support upto about 8-10db easily).
Other things to consider is that it must NOT be an ADSL router, the connection is via Virgin Media/NTL modem, essentially meaning it needs a WAN socket (aka, it's a cable router).
I did have the D-Link Dir-655 in mind, but it appears to be out of in all my normal haunts, so I presume either shortages or discontinued.
Budget max is about £100.
Any recommendations 'o masters of the interwebs?
