It's doable, or at least will be when all the mods have been converted to use templates, but there's a lot of work involved.
It's likely to be a consideration when we move over to phpbb3 when the templates need remaking anyway.

Also, you do know we have a
http://www.5punk.co.uk/phpbb/?lofi version available which is good for viewing the site in a small sized window in the bottom corner fo your screen at work

Nope afraid it's here to stay folks, we welcome suggestions on improving/changing it, but I'm not going to revert backto the old one, that would just be silly.

Suggestions that'll probably only make sense to admins:
Lose the links on the new FP and replace with 5 most recent posts
Stoat, can you see if there's a better way to do the TS bit on the frontpage? (maybe some way with a longer timeout as the current system is poor (showing as server down when it's fine))
A settable end time for games in the scheduler (mostly useful for radio shows, as it'll allow people to play well with others)
top-bit shuffled as discussed with wey (lose upload icon, move wiki icon left and replace with forum button (for user friendlyness)
Other stuff i'm too drunk (while not drunk) to remember
