What's that- £20? Sounds fair to me.
I don't doubt there'll be a lot of complaining again though.

US$ 40 = 20.3790503 UK£
I was also looking at the COD/COD:UO/COD2 pack for $39.99 on steam whilst stroking my beard thoughtfully.

Sounds fairer than fair.
I'd probably pay that for Portal/TFC2 alone.

yup, £20 seems more than fair for what you get.

It is not fair, I demand they increase the price.

I quite enjoy downloading lots of data, so long as it doesn't interrupt my usual habits. It gives me the nerd-horn.

I quite like the download service from steam.
Not only can I preload and play the second it's released, but if I forget to preload and It's at 33%, I can play the first third of the game.
Profit!
Oh, and I can play it anywhere, no disks etc etc..

It has much improved, but is still with it's flaws, yesterday for example I couldn't play any Steam games for ages because it was trying to update but the servers were to busy so I couldn't start Steam.
But the game downloading mostly works ok, getting it cheaper is the main benefit as far as I'm concerned.

How long will the preload period be this time?
I don't doubt they'll have a load of extra servers in to handle the transactions but I still reckon it'll be a good idea to wait for a few days.

Really you only need to preload a day or two before final release, instead of straight after preload release.

Not even Portal? I thougth Ep1 was well worth the money, and with TFC2 and Portal I'm certainly going to get it at some point.
