I'm back on the laptop as my computer is refusing to boot up.
It gets to the display of what my motherboard is, and then stops doing anything.
Would I be right in guessing my hard drive has just fried, and if so, can you guys spec me a new one? It was old when Joose flogged it to me in the first place, four years ago.

Does it only tell you what the mobo is? or does it do CPU checks and stuff too?
I'd suggest unplugging the hdd, just to see what happens, as much as anything.

This is why it is recommended to disconnect all other drives when installing Windows.

This is the first time I've ever done this, that bit of info seems to have passed by me.
Hey ho, lets see how this goes.

it appears in computer management, i've done a 1-1 of all its settings with the drive that does show, and it's all the same,
Still not showing in my computer though.
