I'm thinking a new headshit for the upcoming Non-Denominational Winter Festivities Day.

I was looking at spending around £30-40 but I'm tempted by some logitech g35's given that they cost a fair bit more do you sound nazi bitches think they're worth it or should I look at sennheisers etc for that kind of outlay?

I've got a cheapy x-fi so sounds are okay but nothing special so I don't care about wireless/wired usb/jack etc, mostly comfort and general sound quality across skype/TS/games etc.

Any suggestions?!one!

They're quite old so hopefully that means they're good quality but cheap.

I have a pair of those somewhere, they're nice sound quality, but the mic doesn't swing out of the way when not in use, you have to either unplug it or bend it out of the way. They have a sort of cloth material touching your ears, which means they don't make your ears quite as sweaty, but still quite warm.

I favour lighter ones for prolonged/casual use, I don't treat them very carefully when I take them off and dump them on the desk, which is another reason I don't pay much. Something like the creative hs-390s.

In my experience, neckband headphones sit quite heavily on the top of your ears, so I'm still undecided.

The mic gave out on my sennheiser headphones, and I want a new one. I could look for the problem but as it's probably within the mic itself I don't want break it (sound still works so I'll donate it to a friend)
I was just going to buy the same one again, but I'm kind of curious as to how the steelseries are. Did you get one Deject or Grimmie? And if so, how are they?

I did in fact get a set of Siberia Neckband headsets. They sound quite nice and the mic is good as well. The behind the neck aspect isn't perfect. It was designed for someone with a smaller head than I, and it's held on by an elastic band that ideally will give a gentle squeeze, but it's a bit much. It's not uncomfortable, but it always feels like it's sliding off my head a bit, and I need to keep pushing it back over my ears until I get a good equilibrium.

I'd say if you have a more normal sized head then they'd work better for you. Otherwise I'd stick with a more traditional style headset. As far as sound quality is concerned though, they're pretty great.

not quite like that. the elastic goes around the band that goes behind your head, which is a telescoping sort of thing.

I can vouch that they're excellent quality, hence why they've not really dropped in price.

Extremely durable too. Had mine 3 years now, been dropped, sat on and pulled about and thrown by the Rexxling and are still in perfect condition.

I have those. Yes, nice sound and robust, but their heaviness on the ears and the fixed mic makes them a bit too impractical for all-night usage for me.

Oh really? I have no problems with comfort but the microphone, can you not bend to suit or just remove it?

I was use to being able to swing it completely out of the way is all.

I'm quite impressed with my Creative Fatal1ty Gaming Headset and not noticed any problems with their weight after a few hours of gaming. I've nearly lost the detachable mic at least once though.
