Podcast Software

If you touch your software enough does it become hardware?

Podcast Software

Post by tandino »

Morning all! I've spent a significant amount of time looking online for good podcast creation software for the PC as I have to do an 'Enhanced Podcast' for a uni assignment.

Now I know using a mac would be significantly easier but as I've left it to the last minute, I have no MACcess until the deadline next Monday.
To the point then, does anybody know of any good podcasting software and also sweepability of said softwares? I shall reward the cunt who comes through for me with a faceful of 5perm.

When I have the softwares required and have got this assignment out of the way, I may think of some kind of 5punkcast. Athough not to be released on Itunes as I don't use it due to me not having an Ipod and it being wank.

Anyhoo, bit of music, a good friend, some beers and a game review might be interesting (though probably won't), who knows!?

Ta googlebitches :)

[EDIT]

Isn't this the PC Hardware/Software forum? Somebody must've switched the signs, my mistake...

The only audio editor I've ever used is Nero Wav Editor.
Though I'm sure there are better things out there.

Google a Garageband PC Alternative, I'm posotive there are some non-mac type podcast bits.

Cheers guys, will have a look at the suggestions. I'd planned on using Audacity as I've used it before but as it has to be an enhanced podcast (with images) I've been looking at using it in conjunction with Camtasia, a screen grabby thingy.

I was hoping that there'd be one that combined the two and have yet to find one. Will check out the total recorder gubbins though. Any other ideas will be gratefully received however.

Cant you just record audio with one, and put it into the camtasia timeline?

Unsure to be honest as I've not used Camtasia before. I'll certainly have a crack at it tonight after work and see if anythiong comes up. after looking into Total Recorder (not the wind instrument fans' monthly supplement) it would appear to offer all I need it to.

Will know for sure once I've checked my floorware box either way.
