Large bottle of Grants Ale Cask Reserve for 9:97, thats only 2 pounds more expensive than the Jock Gits usual Tipple!
I'm still waiting to try it. I feel as though i need a cigar and a Whisky snob friend to drink it with

Its Whisky, Whiskey is what the Irish make and Yanks call scotch and annoy the Scottish with.

Last two are not whiskeys either technically as they are made in America so are bourbon's

Jameson is Irish Whiskey (and quite smooth), but Jim Beam and Jack Daniels is Bourbon.
I got two bottles of single malt for Christmas; Old Pultney and Macallan. Cheers

Twat, mine is a blend but as you know I am still a poor student so I cant afford a decent single malt.

Just tried the whisky, It smells lovely and creamy and a lot like GlenFiddich. The ale cask does nothing to hide the usual taste car battery acid taste of grants though. Bugger, time to pretend its JD and add some coke me thinks.

I've fancied the Old Pultney ever since I got some for my Grandad two years ago, so my Mum got me some. I liked the salty, peaty description. Just tried the Macallen tonight (that Mrs Pants bought me) and it's beautiful - tastes almost treacley. I'm very new to Scotch (I've drank Bourbon for years), but I think I'm going to like it

t'is rather nice, I suggest some Laphroaig, I got a schnifter left but I don't want to drink it. Its got a kick but its very nice, the Grants I have just now isn't that bad, taste kind of creamy but has an acidy bite.

I've just shipped in a bottle of Laphoraig Cask Strength and a bottle of Ardbeg Non-Chill Filtered, potent brews I tell you.
Also, I agree with Mikkyo, don't call it 'Scotch' and that sickly-sweet crap that comes from Merkin land is not whisky.
Edit: And Jack D isn't a Bourbon. It uses an entirely different process and should be referred to as a 'Tennessee Whiskey'.

looks like a dog, smells like a dog its a dog, or bourbon in this case I think. "Sour mash bourbon"

I'm way (way way) to young to drink but Jameson's (or whatever it's called) looks the best because of that old guy who plays the drums then kicks them on the floor. He is proper mint at a flam tap solo thingie.

I don't understand about 80% of that. Jameson's is nice though, goes down smoothly. I reckon I could have that as a friday night drink if I'm not feeling like beer.
