Any of you techies use Backup Exec or other products to remotely backaup Windows Server 2003 64bit?

Found out that our current version of Backup Exec (v10) does nto support remotely backing up servers with AMD processors

Rather than having to fork out a fortune upgrading to version 11, I wondered if any of you use other products or know of a way of getting round this?

Thought about mapping the servers local drives as a network drive, and backing them up that way, but that's a bit of a bodge job, plus you then don't have a system backup.

Do it the other way round, schedule ntbackup on the server and point it at a network location.

This.

Microsoft Backup is actually very powerful and can be scripted to hell and back.

Looks like we are going to go down the route of upgrading Backup Exec 10 to Backup Exec 11d :)
