Last night while driving south I had four hours of contemplation leading to revelation. I've managed to rework the Truth into something both more interesting and more practical for the game. I'm not posting it, for obvious reasons, but some elements could be fairly safely leaked to players (not characters), such as why there's references to real life, how the Ebb works, and why the alien races look a bit like humans with different heads.

Why should you care? Well, it's drawing me back towards my SLA writing and giving me a framework for the high-end stuff I never had before.

Most of you who play have probably read the canon Truth (which was only published because it had been discarded and was therefore no longer canon), and I expect most of you think it sucks (like almost everyone else who read it). What SLA conspiracy theories do you have though? I'd be very interested to know, and it might give me some inspiration.

The Truth (tm) is shit. No wonder they binned it.

I kind of liked the universe being formed from the aspects of the crazy Glaswegian's mind part, but the rest felt like a copout - none of it really happened, Slayer just made it up. Sounds to me like they were just patching up something that never had an overarching story.
