Food wikiage.

Right now our geekfood wiki is shite.

So it needs fixing.

I'm thinking thinking the best place to start would be sorting recipes into categories, like a proper cookbook, kinda.

But, I wanna know how people would prefer it.

Options that come to mind:

Courses:
>Starter
>>Soop
>Main
>>Steak
>>Trout a'la creme
>Dessert
>>CAEK!
>>Crème brûlée

Seasonality:
>Winter
>>Stew
>>Pie
>>Soup
>Spring
>>Lamb rump
>Summer
>>Salady type things
>Autumn
>>Nuts and Berries

Type of food:
>Meat
>>Cow
>>Pig
>>Sheep
>Pasta
>>Spaghetti
>>Amusing shapes
>>Ninja turtles
>Veg
>>Salad
>>Greens

Style:
>Junk Food
>>Burgers
>>Fried Chicken
>>Chips
>Simple but good
>>Lasagne
>>Steak + Sauce
>>Spag bol
>>Stew
>Chefwankery
>>Chicken stuffed with meat wrapped with bacon
>>Turducken

Any thoughts? I reckon Food type makes most sense, but style could work well too.

Food type, with a difficulty rating similar to the style options.

I like that, should be easy enough to follow.

Courses seems to make more sense to me, but I'm no foodie. Also, what the fuck is a Turducken? I want that category regardless.

And the Courses thing wouldn't balance too well.

90% of the recipes will be main course/dessert, and a starters section shouldn't be a problem if stuff works as it should.

It could use some design voodoo type stuff, but that's well beyond me.

Ooh, nice work. I might have a browse and find something to make for tea next week.

All done with everything posted in the geekfood thread, I didn't do any just linked recipes, and I did write recipes into a bit more english if they were the ramblings of a madman.

Feel free to format the recipes etc a bit better and fix any mistakes.

I didn't even know the food wiki existed. I have at least two more recipes I can add, which I think are worthy of sharing with "THE MASSES"
