Yup, no preload yet, and just over 24 hours until the steam release

Well done steam, releasing a day late and all. Can't really say I'm too hugely bothered, I didn't even finish the first one.

I'm not massively fussed, but I'm fucking bored, it'd be nice to have a game to play tomorrow.

I'd recommend Mass effect, but I know that's really not your kind of thing.

I played a bit of it the other day, didn't quite grab me, but I'll give it more time at some point.

I tried the muliplayer. Felt a bit jumbled, as if they tried to put too much into it.
You start with a melee weapon, two crap guns and two of three basic plasmids. The rest, including skills, you unlock with higher levels.
There are turrets in the level you can hack and you can research other people's bodies to give buffs against them - both require you to stand still for ages with a diminished view though. There are machines you can buy stuff at and you find stuff like Adam lying around.
I only played one round of FFA, but there are quite a few game modes, some of which might be a little more suited to the somewhat overcomplex play.
I think I was hosting (my name at the top) but it was still hard to hit people with poor connections (unpredictable, jerky movement). You can have a private game, but only Invite people using GfWL - which is a shame.

Remember to save reasonably regularly, I'm getting occasional CTDs

The multiplayer sounds so horribly disappointing. Bunch of bellends and their 'shit for windows shit'. Good job, take one of the major strengths of the computer and beat it down until it's a console-like abortion.

Well, I just finished it. 10.3 hours according to steam, moderate, but not total explorations.
Found it mostly enjoyable, though I did set the difficulty to easy midway through Dionysus Park, just because I was bored of ammo management.
Strangely, I felt more attached to the little sisters than I did in the original.
End game spoilers
