If, like me, you took advantage of the Steam Sale of Stalker recently, or if you fancy playing it again with a bit of a revamp, then I recommend you have a look at this

Just been trying it and it does make a huuuuuge difference to the Graphics, the AI seem to be a bit tougher as well, but I like a challenge.

Really worth giving it a new spin if it's sitting on your shelf gathering dust.

Is it as good as the other big mod that we used for SoC?

I can't remember the name, something like AIX? (Berk?)
I know that mod wasn't a graphic overhaul like this one, but it did add lots of features and unlocked more of the original unfinished game.

AIX was beef mod.

Oblivion lost was the mod for stalker with all the cars and such IIRC.

Yeah, that'll be the badger. That was awesome. Even the bugs were awesome, like making the APC go 300ft into the air and spin around like a top.

There's also the L.U.R.K. mod which enables actual stealth apparently.

Yeah, the LURK mod is great. It's the only gameplay and graphics overhaul that actually sticks to what I want the game to be like

Now appears to be compatible with Windows 7. Time to try again I think.
