Hello fellow 5punkers,

I need to purchase a few domains, anyone got any recommendations as to which companies I can use?

Then I'll probably need hosting (php and mysql fo' sure, dunno about other needs) but I think I know who'll get recommended.

Danke!

Yes, which is the expected response to that part of the question :)

 indeed, i do.
PHP? MySQL? no problemo
Also tend to do a discount for poor, student-like stingy 5punkers.

Pop me a PM or email, will discuss what you are after and see what would be the right sort of thing.

May I draw your attention to Google Apps Standard Edition
http://www.google.com/apps/intl/en-GB/group/index.html

You can buy a .com (or the others) for $10 a year and it automatically sets it up with Googles email but with your domain.

(I prefer to buy my domains from 123-reg, and then point them to Google Apps, but the point and click nature of getting it through Google I've tried once and was impressed with. Useful for people that don't want to do the admittedly simple DNS fettlings)
