Uninstalled it and deleted it quicker than a blink of an eye
It's useless unless you are after a quick download of a patch, as it cannot provide you with games you have bought previously like Steam can using your CD key.

I would assume so, yes.
It worked this way for my old copy of Half-Life Deluxe Pack which has every single old HL1 based game imaginable. I just put it in, and then all the games were available through Steam.
The COD games may be a bit of an oddity though, as I am not sure if it's the same due to Activision not being affiliated with Steam like Valve were.
Give it a try, but then again, if your comment was badly noted sarcasm, then I guess my point still stands, as an EA Game Downloader should be able to backtrack and install all your previous EA games.

No, you can download Cod, Cod:UO and COD2 *IF YOU BUY THE GAMES ON STEAM.*
bascially you cannot use a cd key not provided by valve
