This is quite suprising when looking at the chart, and I know engadget have "ripped it apart" due to the required statements, but it does make the PS3 console look more appealing if you want a High Definition player, online gaming, with wireless controller next gen console.

Frankly reading engadget makes me cringe, as they are obviously 360 fanboys and constantly have a dig at Sony wherever possible.

The way I see it, there is nothing wrong with this chart, apart from the "required statements", but I can see what Sony are trying to do, they are simply justifying the cost of their console due to the massive amounts of backlash review sites and gamers are giving at the pricepoint.

Still won't be buying one on launch, but that's down to other reasons such as free time, money etc...

The point about the live subscription is perhaps valid, and should probably be multiplied by the number of years you're likely to actively use the console - at least two, possibly four. The other "required" stuff is a bit daft though. "Oh, oh it's simply unplayable without a wireless controller!"

Anyway they're both robbers and the Wii looks like much more fun anyway.

Even then, the DVD player on the PS2 was a bit crud. If you're the sort of person who has a massive Hi-Def home theatre setup you're going to go for a superior stand-alone BluRay job.

Did you visit when the 360 came out? Their treatment is no different to Sony. Same with JoyStick. Well, possibly a bit harsher but to be fair Sony's PR has been laughable of late.
