ASUS are renowned for their noisey northbridges and my A8N-E is no exception. Coming home from work
today I turned my computer screen back on hoping to see south park fully pirated, but instead i was greeted
with a beautiful blue screen. Looking at my motherboard I noticed it was quiet and when I glanced at the
northbridge's tiny little fan i realised it wasn't spinning (Not good) I hit it a few times without success.

Soooo using my expert knowledge i removed a chassis fan and wedged it between my graphics card and TV card

Then to my amusement after I had finished laughing at my own genius i realised that the screen was purple. Very stylish but not the right fucking colour.

Hmmm the cable must be loose and after playing with it (mmmmm) I looked up and smiled at a blue screen (at least it wasn't windows).

STILL THE WRONG COLOUR

Finally after pratting around on my hands and knees like a faaabulous man waiting for Elton John I fixed the thing. Hurray for bodging!

While my machine is not sparkling inside it's worth bearing in mind that excess dust stops heat escaping and produces noise. Bottom-line; get a hoover in there!
