I fancy something lappytoppy, purely so I can interwebify in front on the telly. Other than wireless, and an ability to view the internets, its main requirement will be cheapness: as close to zero pounds as possible.
I have tried ebay, and it seems to be filled with expensive and broken laptops. Any other suggestions?

This, the missus just got hers, it's a 15' studio with some bells added to it (since she needs it for school) and it costed about 600 quid, but you can get a more basic non-student model for many more cheap. The inspiron 15 (refers to the size of the screen) is about 300 quid with no extras.
Dell does the job just fine and they seem to be pretty sturdy.
Or you can get a netbook if you want to fuck up your eyes.

She get one of those funny covered ones that I linked Mr J?
I don't like Dell desktops, did for a short while because they used proper add in board and non proprietory bits of kit, but then they changed back. The money grabbing chinese capacitor twats.
Their laptops are fairly cheap and not the best build ever, but if you don't lug them around in bags too much then they'll keep on going for a fair few years.
Piece of piss to upgrade hdd and ram on a lappy too, so just grab one with a fair speed of cpu and diy the other bits for a lot less than Dell charge. The charge £70 for another stick of ram twats.

Yeah, I'm happy with my Dell. That would assume Joose is looking for a new laptop though, which I don't think he is. You can pick up a cheap Asus or something for about £350, which is what I recommend to anyone who askes me what laptop to buy then replies with "dunno, go on the internet" when asked what they want it for. Cheaper than that and you're going to be looking at second hand off fleabay, which is a whole world of dodgy hardware and malware.

Yep, in fancy lime green (but at least she didn't go for the pink)

Have you considered a Netbook?
Good for browsing the internet, cheap (£220 for a 160GB) and cheerful.

Netbook seems the best option if it's for in front of the TV. Low power, light to hold and hand around and less moving parts if you get an SSD one. Also it won't
burn your penis.

I like netbook portability but I find them just too small for my monkey hands, a full size latop and the biggest keyboard possible plz.
There is of course the
dell outlet centre. If you're after really cheap.

Somebody should do a fold out keyboard for a Netbook.

Yeah a 10" netbook might be the ticket, though you should obviously try to get your hands on one to see if you can deal with the keyboard. The 10" ones have the biggest and best keyboards, as well as the biggest screens so I would not really get anything smaller.
