I know, I know, I'm a little slow to get to these things but after the advices of 5punkers a couple of months back, I bought STALKER COD4 Crysis and Far Cry 2.

I got a little lost in STALKER, probably not playing it enough to immerse myself properly
Crysis. Meh. too many wierd toys and not much real content
FC2 If I tried it I don't remember
Just finished COD4 and I must say that was most fucking awesome. :thrust: I'll bet it had our american cousins ranting about these indeciferable limey accents :ignore: . I may have to get myself one of those :beard: -tash things as I'm closer to the captain's age than to soap's

Ta for the rec :likesitall: . Right on target! have some :pie: Seems I like reality in my FPS (wierd, cos I loved Halo and the HL series) or perhaps I just need a decent plot.

now. Why won't AA3 load on my PC? :shakefist:

Of it's time and in context (of being played on an Xbox) Halo was a great game. If you didn't or couldn't appreciate the experience then that's a shame.

I enjoyed halo multi player :D
In fact, I really really enjoyed halo multi player. It was good minimalistic deathmatch.

The Halo series was excellent as an arcadey console FPS, some of the directions taken between two and three didn't sit well with me and meant I hammered through the story and did very little in the multi-player, it felt wrong and unlike one or two.

And you do get trains in halo! :P

Friz - I saw what you wrote before you had that :above: did you drunkenly mistake aa3 for arma2? I do like Arma 2 despite it's controls, but aa3 is just too broken and is very unlikely to get better considering the dev team told everyone it wasn't ready, but it got published anyway and they got fired.

As the resident AA apologist I have mention a few things here. It has already got a lot better, they have made significant updates to the game, and judging by the regular communications from them, they are continuing to work hard on it.

It's a shame is was so buggy upon release, but for me at least, it was fine after a few days and has remained fine ever since.

I understood the SAS chaps just fine in COD4. That may have something to do with the many drunken nights on TS with you bummers though.

Yup, hence the edit.
