Sounds worth a watch. I personally think this was the worst book in the series, with Harry basically being ignored and moping about until the end when he's proved right all along - you really would have thought he'd shown himself capable and honest by now, but he's treated like a first-year again.

I thought Order of the Pheonix was worst because the whole thing was wrist-slitting Nobody Understands Me self-pitying bollocks.
And I only recently found out that Half-blood Prince wasn't the last book, which is a shame. I thought ending with them leaving Hogwarts was a good, ambiguous end to the series.

As I also thought The Half-Baked Prince was the worst of the series in book form, mostly because it was filler until about 2/3's of the way through (and it's a substanial book page wise) and Ms Rowling was obviously saving the actions and revelations till the final book, I don't have high hopes for it.
Still, I'm going to see it later this evening. Thank god for adults only viewings, I think the kids would ruin it.

They were pretty similar books, following the same pattern the others did where even though he totally saved the day at the end of the previous book, his life turns to shit again at the start of the next. Those two just kept him miserable for far too long though.
The last book has a sickeningly nice ending, I think she couldn't be arsed by that point and just copied it off every fan fiction, ever. The book in general before the epilogue is okay, though.

Are you going to glue them together to form a robot wife?

There are such things? Why didn't anyone tell me? I've been going to films in the middle of the day to escape crowds and children for a while, but even then there's always some scrubber with 20 kids being little shits.

That sounds rather good. I hope some cinema's near me do such a thing, what's the chain of cinema?
I'd really love to go see something in one of the lovely posh converted theaters in london at some point, the ones with a bar. Being able to enjoy a film on a hueg screen and a cold beer would be bliss.

Bars in cinemas is posh now? The tiny cinema I go to has had one since WWI!
You can't take your drinks in the theater though, for obvious reasons.

Bah they're all disgustingly corporate multiplexes round here. And i'm talking about the cinemas with velvet sofas and such that you can take your drinks in with you

You should wear a monocle and top hat when going there, it seems only appropriate.

The new one in liecester has a "Directors Lounge", which is fucking expensive but has big fancy leather chairs, little tables you can swing in front of you, and you can not only take drinks in with you, you can order them at the bar before hand to be delivered to you in the cinema!
Its fucking awesome.
Also, because its that bit more expensive, there never any kids in it at all, and theres rarely more than half a dozen adults in.

I think most chains do it, Vue does and so does Showcase.
Anyway, the film was not very good. Fairly pretty but it just cut so much out of the books that the entire thing became disjointed.
I know it's the weakest book as not a lot happens until after half way, but the film just amplifies this by having scenes which in the film are only related by the characters and location, they don't seem to fit.

Saw this at the imax and was given 3D goggles for the first 20 mins of the film. Holy fuck it looked amazing - almost felt like you were about to be whacked in the face with the opening credit.
Decent film, one of the best so far (not that I'm the biggest fan anyway).

I think the movie's great! The best yet and I can't wait for the last installment. At least the actors are doing pretty good than the last movie.
