That snapping noise just sounds bad though.
It'd put me off playing a game.

It may be realistic, but it's not nice to listen to.

Realistic or not, it sounds like everyone's shooting cap guns.
I'm sure it's very techincally impressive and indispensible for realistic, tactical play, but I can't help feel that by using BEEF as a base they've put realistic metalic paint on a Lego car.

It's alright I think, but only in short bursts. It sounds silly when someone is shooting a PKM at you and all you can hear is popcorn*

*note: not that annoying music of the same name.

while the crack is all realistic and shit, it has no place in a more run-and-gun game like BEEF (at least compared to OpFlash lol). I think it would be cool if used in the right situations, like sniper bullets wizzing by your head, but hearing it when the guy is shooting at you from 3 feet away adds nothing to the gameplay.

I would prefer the pee-oww! sounds from cowboy movies.

How about a mod that changes all the sounds to those you make with your mouth when pretending to fire a gun, now that would be interesting!
