Does anyone else find Stephen Fry's (the King of Twitter) tweets boring and spammy?

Also for new people I suggest using Tweetdeck client. It's the best I've seen.

I started by following celebrities, and quickly found that they're just using it for the most basic things :( No sharing, no news, just mundane shit following the loose "What are you doing?" question.

It's a bit of an inside joke that people just say what they're having for breakfast on there. Checked Wossy's feed this afternoon. He's having muesli. Thrilling.

People that are amusing, talk to their followers, or share interesting stuff.
Matt Berry - http://twitter.com/porksmith
Bill Bailey - http://twitter.com/RealBillBailey Goes off on great twitter monologues
The QI elves - http://twitter.com/qikipedia The researchers behind QI
Muse - http://twitter.com/musewire Post pictures from their phone, give release dates to Twitter early
Smashing mag - http://twitter.com/smashingmag Arty/design news from around the web, not just their own publication

Etc etc.

I use Twirl. You have to install Adobe Air, but it's small.

For those at work, you can use spreadtweet as a disguise. It shows twitter but it looks like a spreadsheet. My husbands friend made it and he is also someone interesting to follow. he makes lots of other apps for fun.

http://elliottkember.com/spreadtweet/ There is a downloadable version plus more information..

but the web based one here http://spreadtweets.elliottkember.com/

That would be cool if it tweeted when games are added to the scheduler and when the scheduler has started a game :) Or also when a new thread starts.

God damn. Yeah, I'm usually pretty careful about what I say, especially as work have been so kind to allow me to install Tweetdeck and keep track of my personal/work twitter.

You mean like talking about mother fucking wasps? And a mother fucking bus? And mother fucking ear buds? Must be your fancy ass vocabulary. Wow and that was all just from today :p

Well, yeah. Do you not read the papers? People are being fired quite regularly for pulling a sickie and updating their status all day with shit like 'woah, heads messed from all that gak I hoovered last night'. Serves them right.

As far as I'm concerned you jut plain don't write anything involving work or relationships anywhere unless you know it can't be read by those it's not meant to be seen by or you told them it all already. You don't even think that shit loudly, it'll bite you in the ass.

Npower is known to monitor facebook/twitter etc. If you're twittering in work then you're not using the work pc because they're all blocked, proxies get hunted and blocked with a werd felcher so you must be using a mobile. They're meant to be off, so you get fired. If you can prove it's from a mobile on your break time using your time sheets then you're fine. Other than that you're fucked.
