anyone else noticed xfire eating 100% cpu for no good reason since the update?

it's getting on my tits. :x

I *suspect* it's an issue that only shows itself for mods, or when new people are added to the group, it's hard to tell.

Hmm. No problems here. Noone seems to mention signing up for the clan thing in that thread though.

edit: That thread reinforces my theory that everyone is 13.

Now, this might seem like a really stupid idea, but if it's eating loads of CPU, can you not just set it to low priority in the Windows task manager settings?

first thing i did, it still crashes and burns, but it doesn't hurt windows performance so much.

Though, after a couple of xfire restarts it seems to have calmed down.

no problems for me after a couple of reboots. having said that, i didnt think to check the taskman, so that may have been WHY i needed to reboot in the first place
