I want to do a radio show of songs that are just downright creepy, but I need suggestions. By "creepy" I mean songs that just bug you out when you listen to them. I'm shooting for the effect that Aphex Twin's Come to Daddy video acheives, but obviously it won't be video.

Spectre vs Rector by The Fall - a story about demonic possession across 7 scenes.

Impression of J Temperance, also by The Fall - about a dog breeder who is shunned by the local community after one his dogs gives birth to a pup that looks just like him.

Fantomas has a very creepy sound. Check out Delirium Cordia or Director's Cut. Some songs off of the Mr. Bungle cd Disco Volante are also fairly creepy. My ex couldn't listen to one song it freaked her out the bad. Take note both are bands that Mike Patton formed, he also has a solo cd Adult Themes For Voice, which is just him, a mic and a 4 track recorder in hotel rooms. Very odd, some very dark, and all very very insane. [/url]

hmmmm, I think I am going the wrong route here. How about songs that aren't necessarily disturbing musically, but just have some very disturbing lyrics. Lyrics that just make you go WTF...

How about 1-800-Suicide or Defective Trip by the Gravediggaz? Both pretty damn weird.

I can't think of anything off the top of my head but most stuff by Nine Inch Nails, Ministry or Revolting Cocks (anything on the Devotion label really) might fit the bill.

Dead Kennedys did some odd stuff: Dear Abby, Holiday in Cambodia, I Kill Children, Kill the Poor, etc.

And if you want WTF, you need Lightning Bolt. There are lyrics there somewhere I assure you, I don't think anyone knows what they are though.

Lots of Nile tracks have high WTF factor, but largely due to them being sung in ancient sumerian and the like.

Theres a few Moloko tracks with extremely wierd lyrics.
Ooh, and you dont get a lot odder than Ween. "Im waving my dick in the wind" and "AIDS! doo be doo be doo. AIDS!" have funny wierd, and there is also a song with a small child complaining that spinal meningitis hurts and how scared he is of dying. That *really* gives me the fear.
