I'm going to be taking a fairly serious amount of time to do a review of this, but I wanted to lob some preliminary impressions up here in the meantime. Blimey, BIS really have got that warzone feel nailed down. This is one of the most atmospheric games I've ever played, despite exhibiting a veritable alphabet of atmosphere-breaking elements. The most obvious of these being UNKNOWN. MAN. FAR.

That screenie looks a bit poop. Flashpoint 2 looks better polished. Still, I'll try both and we can see which one we can all get on with more (or get less rage from).

Bah, I want this game but I want to get it on steam to avoid secuSHIT, which means waiting longer.

I'm going for the steam version. That also gives them another 10 day's to get any further patching done (UK release is already 'pre-patched' from the German version).

It seems porting is fairly easy, so expect a host of useful mods, utils and 3rd party fixes - probably the best news site is here

I think I'll go with the steam version too, I like having things on steam anyway.
