I suppose it all depends on what kind of pie really. I would say my general favourite is Steak and Kidney, but on rare occasions I've found them I can say I'm very partial to Butter Pies. Butter pies are made with, as the name suggests, mashed potato laced heavily with butter. Lovely. Of the other savoury pies I'm not massively keen on chicken and mushroom or mince, but I'll eat them. Cheese and onion are quite nice.
Now I think special consideration needs to be taken for the mashed-potato covered variety of pie such as cottage pie and shepherd's pie. Many people are unaware of the difference between cottage pie and shepherd's pie, so I shall clarify this before continuing. Simply put, cottage pie is made with beef while shepherd's pie is made with lamb. Both are lovely, especially when the mash has half a tube of primula cheese mixed in with it. Also, the importance of scoring the potato topping shouldn't be underestimated as it means the difference between a golden-brown, fluffy coat and a shiny, hard, slightly burnt shell. Also falling into this category is the ocean pie. Again, the addition of mashed potato and butter makes this tasty treat another winner.
The sweet varieties of pie seem to be a bit hit-and-miss for me. Tart fruit pies such as apple and rhubarb are generally rather tasty desserts, but I'm very picky when it comes to fruit (and berries and such) so I am often left disappointed when I find cherries hidden in a dish by unscrupulous restarauntiers. Custard pies are nice. Generally though I stick to cheesecake, but that's another subject entirely.
In conclusion, I'd say yes I do like pies.
Also, hello
