heh, my torrent went blindingly fast.

Given it a bit of a play, tis kinda fun. I cant imagine it lasting long, but its certainly worth the princely sum of £0.

Done a couple of the missions and to be honest, my first impression is meh.

I quite liked the first MechCommander. I had a floorware copy which crashed or something, but I enjoyed what I got. I shall download this now and play with it when I get back from my course.

does any1 eles game crash when they try an start mission 5?

I've hopped in to playing MechCommander 2, and I fucking love it. It's more of a tactics game, there are "resources" but you don't build anything. It's just your mechs and your ability to fight. Luckily Most of your Mechs can take a beatings and repairing isn't a hassle. I love the action too. A huge part of the fighting is finding the right angle of attack and luring enemies away from capturable buildings.


My biggest complaint so far have been the default control scheme (it sucked and thankfully you can change it) and the scroll speed is god awful slow.
