I call bs on that trailer being in game though.

It might use the engine, but it'll be tweaked, ultra textured and have lots of little extra hidden stuff turned on.

While graphically it looks good, and the monster was impressive - the space ship corridor wasn't exactly the most original setting ever.

While it was very pretty, it still seems the crutch it was in Doom 3 and Prey to link more interesting areas together. Surely they could have shown some of those instead, or is this game to be entirely based in similar corridors?

Looks set to scoop the most cliché game award if nothing else.

It's standard Aliens Vs Marines in ships/human bases mostly. It was just very well executed with some good ideas.

Oh, the HL1 mod. Was it based on a Quake/Quake 2 mod - the map I played years ago was so hideous it must have ported from them. I don't think I really got what was going on - there was too much happening and the world (or at least, I) wasn't ready for an FPS with RTS/Commander elements which didn't really hit it off until BF2.

The teaser was a bit misleading then, in that it made it look like a single player game with a story.
