Gun Bound

Post by Grimmie »

Could we possibly add Gun Bound: World Championship to the schedualer? Xfire supports it so there should be its official icon drifting around in the midsts of the internet.

For those of you who haven't heard of it, try to take yourself back to the days where a 486 was the best computer around, and games came on floppy disks! Scorched Earth is probably the most similar game to Gun Bound. An artillery based shooter where you have to take wind, your angle and your type of weapon into account. Think worms but with a flat surface.. And TANKS AND LAZORS AND THINGS.

There's also a 'horse' mobile available if you leave your vehicle selection to random. The game's a bit of fun, and you can improve your avatar with items with each game you win. As far as I know people who already play this game are;

Hehulk, Shot2Bits, Nazzor, Joose, Ty, and myself.

It's an amazing game for 1am, taxs the brain ever so slightly so when you do go off to sleep, you drop straight off. Least in my experience. Also damn good fun :)

Ok, I think I'm signed up now. It's confusing though and it froze the computer when I quit, so I don't know if i'm verified or not yet.
Quality engrish on the site though.

It are a win game, if high in the silly count. Im not quite sure what grimmie means by
worms but with a flat surface
because as far as I remember, Worms was on a flat surface. Before they did this silly Worms 3D thing. I suppose thats what he means really.

Sorry. Ive just done excersize for the first time in a year, my brains all addled.

Tis a good game though.

Gunbound, that is. Not excersize.

What I meant was, that Worms usually tended to be played in cave levels with people scattered in all sorts of directions, or open areas with big clifftops and buildings everywhere, making it difficult to play the game in an artillery kinda way. With gunbound you get rewards for firing long and high, and hitting the target.

I loved just tunnelling through the buildings instead of trying to figure out the right trajectory...

I'm really struggling verifying my email address. In fact most of the signup process has been a bit wtf.

just remember, the last 2 boxes on the signup you leave blank, there for the other game, and once youve done that click the thing to register for the game so you can play that, you should get the email pretty quick as far as i remember

Well I don't get the email from my hotmail account, and I get it when I change to my 5punkmail account, but it says wrong key. I've not actually got into the game yet either...

Finally! Changed email account to 5punk, verified, copied verificationi email, put it in hotmail contacts, changed email account to hotmail, verified again, win! How convoluted was that? Now I've got to work out how to play the chuffing game.

Okay, all the game rooms scare me so I'm going to wait until I can play with 5punkers. For the purpose of buddy lists and such I'm using the name InuPantu.

Ha ha ha, oh dear. Give shot2bits, nazzor or hehulk a prod and they'll help you out. Unfortunately my character's too 'powerful' to be considered for the rookie servers anymore, so I can't personally help you.

The surrounding environment set in Gunbound dynamically changes according to the "Moon Disk." Pay attention to the Moon Disk as it changes every other turn. Gunbound forbids simple game play.
